Concept

Strike Team is a top down tactical turn-based shooter with an emphasis on squad structure, field of view optimization and  premeditated attack. 

Story: You play as either a squad of well equipped mercenaries employed by a mysterious terrorist organization sent out to ensure safety of their hidden facilities or a well trained SWAT strike team mobilized to take them down before their products or staff can be evacuated. The organization is bloodthirsty and ruthless group doesn't even hesitate when shooting to kill, because of this the SWAT team has also allowed to shoot their members on sight as to reduce casualties and property damage that prolonged engagements would create. Who will win depends on your skill as a player but be careful, you never know what will be around the next corner.

The drug bust

Description:

The setting is based around a pharmaceutical company that acted as a front while the mysterious organization used it for making drugs. Caught by the US government, the mercenaries employed by the mysterious organization have to act quickly to deal with incoming swat operatives or hold out long enough to evacuate the facility. Expected game modes could include: asset protection (a general protect the hostage game mode), drug run (a collection game mode that will require an active defensive team) and defend the payload (a control point game mode).

Description:

This level was primarily created to emphasize verticality, destructibility and testing how including multiple buildings would diversify sight lines and maneuverability.

The setting is based around a major hotel or bank take over by the mysterious terrorist organization. The act of doing this is in retaliation for the FBI shutting down one of their drug facilities and capturing the members there. Now they are taking the city hostage till they get their demands and their personnel.

 

Game modes could include: bomb defusal, hostage extraction, or cash grab (the same game mode as the previous map's drug run). I plan to have long range sight lines and split group actions be much more prevalent due to the scale of the map by comparison to the first. The multi-floor nature of the buildings will allow a broad variety of ways to approach the objective.
