My Work: Story design, Level design, Mission design
Concept
This level was the result of a design challenge to create an environment from scratch over the course of 2 weeks. During this time I was working part time and for the original version only used models I made on Maya and textures that I created from pictures found on google and modified in Photoshop.
The entire level was based off of this brief narrative:
The wind blows through The Feralands. There once stood a beautiful palace in Nandorthel, full of riches and set in a sunny, verdant vale with exquisite trees. A rustic path along a river once led up to it.
But that was a long time ago ... Téafor's Rebels murdered and looted all those who stood in their way. Today the only evidence of the palace's existence are ruins and a patchwork dirt path. Nature has grown over what once existed here.
As a result of the project I also made 3 short design documents for the level, including; design intentions, a technical walkthrough and a post-mortem.
